So the Cuckoo Marans coop finally was cleaned out! I'm rather proud!
I had to boot my hen off the nest and put her on other eggs (Black Coppers) since she had hoarded over 20-something eggs underneath her.
Of course, while I was down to the last bucket or two of dirt, muck and poo, I stepped on a rusty nail! Strangely enough, I've stepped on a-many nails since I've been out in Kansas. Preferably, I'd like to avoid lock-jaw! Should go get a tetanus shot sometime soon!
Anyways, weekend was a bit rough. I got to package three dozen eggs (I gave one free dozen) for a repeat customer, added a bit more stuff on etsy.
I thought I had lost my Lakenvelder flock and came to find out that they were hanging out in the draw across the barn. Coyote snacks?
Other than that, I'm hoping to rehome the rest of my Black Copper chicks and at least five of my roosters sometime within this month! School is out shortly! Yay! Anyways, will be back later!
